This Privacy Policy explains how Astera collects, uses, and protects information when users access the Astera mobile app and related warehouse, delivery, and installation web services.
Information We Collect
Depending on how the app is used, Astera may collect the following information:
- Account information, such as username, worker name, role, and company or project assignment.
- Operational scan data, such as QR code scans, cabinet identifiers, project, building, room, status, timestamps, and worker activity.
- Photos and videos submitted as installation proof or issue reports.
- Location information when users grant permission, including GPS coordinates attached to installation proof or issue reports.
- Device and connection information needed to support login, security, troubleshooting, and offline sync.
How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- Authenticate users and control access to app features.
- Track cabinet delivery, receiving, installation, issue reporting, and warehouse activity.
- Display live project reports, proof photos, GPS pins, and worker activity to authorized project users.
- Support offline scanning and synchronize pending records when connectivity returns.
- Maintain security, troubleshoot errors, prevent misuse, and improve operational reliability.
Data Sharing
Astera does not sell personal information. Information may be visible to authorized users within the same company, project, warehouse, or jobsite workflow where necessary to operate the service. We may also disclose information if required by law, security needs, or legitimate business recordkeeping.
Photos, Location, and Permissions
The app may request camera access to scan QR codes and capture proof photos. The app may request location permission to attach GPS coordinates to installation or issue submissions. Users can manage camera and location permissions in their device settings.
Data Security
We use HTTPS for data transmitted between the app and Astera servers. Access to operational data is restricted to authorized users. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the information used by the service.
Data Retention
We retain operational records for as long as needed to support project history, warehouse records, installation proof, issue resolution, legal compliance, security, backups, and legitimate business needs.

Children's Privacy
Astera is intended for workplace and business use. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
